Cookie Policy
Our website uses cookies. It’s common practice with almost all professional websites.
Cookies are tiny files downloaded to your computer. They should improve your experience of the website.
On this page, you will find out:
- what information we gather
- how and why we use this information
- how you can stop these cookies from being stored and how this impacts your experience of the website
To find out more about cookies, see the links below. Please note Bradford College is not responsible for the content of external websites.
How we use cookies
The cookies we set
Session cookies: Some parts of the website need you to log in. Cookies store this information and let you log in without putting in your details each time.
Your preferences: We also set cookies to save the way you want to use this website. For example, saving your choice to accept using cookies on our site. This gives you a better experience on the site.
Third-party cookies
We also use cookies by trusted third parties.
Analytics and improvements to our website
Google Analytics: This service helps us see how you use the site and how we can improve it. For example, these cookies track things like how long you spend on the site and pages. We can use that data to make better content.
This data is also used for website development, such as making the site better for mobile devices.
We also collect data on how many visitors enquire or apply through the website. We do not store your personal details using cookies if you go on to enquire or apply to a course.
For more information on Google Analytics cookies, see their website.
Digital advertising service cookies
Bradford College does not serve digital advertising content for third-parties who do not have any association or formal partnership with us.
Google Advertising Services uses a DoubleClick cookie to serve more relevant ads across the web and limit the number of times you see a given ad.
Bradford College uses Google Advertising Services to promote our products and services to people we think would benefit from them.
The behavioural advertising cookies used by this site are designed to make sure that our advertising service provider (Google) provides you with the most relevant adverts where possible by anonymously tracking your interests and showing other things that may be of interest.
This may include information or content you access elsewhere on the web.
For more information on how Google uses cookies for advertising, please see the official Google Advertising Privacy and Terms page.
As well as Google Advertising services, Bradford College may also sometimes use advertising on social media platforms.
Cookies and online payments
Some parts of our website allow you to pay us online. To make this possible, we use a service called ‘Checkout‘ provided by Stripe. Stripe is an online payment processor which the college uses so we can accept online payments.
Stripe Checkout may need the use of cookies so it can process a transaction. You can find out more about the cookies set by Stripe by visiting Stripe’s Cookies Policy.
Social media platform cookies
We also use social media buttons and plugins on this site that allow you to connect with your social network.
For these to work, the social media sites listed may set cookies through our site. They may use these to enhance your profile on their site, or add to the data they hold for reasons outlined in their own privacy policies.

Opt-out of Analytics
Google has an add-on (also known as an extension) for the most common web browsers. It tells your browser to opt out of Google Analytics.
If you do not wish to install this add-on but want to opt out, you could disable JavaScript. But this is not recommended as many websites need it to work.
Opt-out of using cookies
If you would like to opt-out of third-party cookies completely, you’ll need to look at your web browser settings.
Disabling cookies will affect the way this and many other websites that you visit work. Some parts of this site might stop working if you disable cookies.
It is recommended that you leave your default cookie settings in your web browser if you are not sure whether you need them, in case they are used to provide a service that you use.
Instructions on how to disable cookies vary by your web browser software. Please look at your web browser’s support documentation for specific instructions.
