Overview
This creative course will give you opportunity to learn some basic metalworking skills with which to make jewellery. Study part-time with us and pick up a range of new skills. We offer both Introduction and Improvers courses in Jewellery Making and Precious Metals.

What You Will Learn
On this creative course you will have the opportunity to learn some basic metalworking skills with which to make jewellery. With our help, you will learn to produce hand-crafted items such as rings, earrings and pendants using silver, copper and semi-precious gems. Materials will be available via the tutor and costs will vary according to market prices at the time. You will explore business opportunities in relation to this craft. This improvers course is perfect if you already have some basic small metalworking experience. Projects such as stud earrings, twist rings and decorative pendants are designed to build on your existing skills, especially silver soldering.

There are no entry requirements for this course apart from an interest in the subject and the ability to commit to positive behaviours and attendance. You will have a 1-1 meeting with a member of our team to ensure it is the right course for you.

If you are 19 years old or over you may need to pay fees for your Further Education studies.
Course fees depend on your age and course level.
You may be exempt from paying fees though, or eligible to pay a reduced fee – known as fee remission.
FE Tuition: £60.50 per academic year
