Go Higher West Yorkshire (GHWY) tries to improve access to higher education for under-represented groups.

Outreach activities include: 

• Uni Connect Summer School
• Foster Family Fun Days
• LAC Aspirations event
• ‘Flood a School’ events

Uni Connect

The Office for Students Uni Connect programme supports government goals to:

• double the amount of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in higher education by 2020
• increase the number of students from ethnic minority groups in higher education by 20%
• address under-representation of young men from disadvantaged backgrounds in higher education
