Get ready for Live Wire Showcase

Music students are getting ready to return to the stage in the Live Wire Showcase.

The brilliant musicians from Bradford School of Art will host the fantastic performance on Wednesday (20 October). This will be their first live performance in almost two years.

They said: “We are excited to showcase our talent in front of a public audience!”

Students of the Level Three Music Performance and Production course will treat music fans to styles and genres spanning the decades.

Course leader Nicolas Sykes said: “All students have worked together to organise and manage the event, as well as preparing live performances and executing live sound roles.”

During lockdown, music fans watched students’ performances via hugely popular online performances at college via YouTube.

Wednesday’s concert will be their first live performance since the pandemic.

The concert will take place in the Bradford College Lister Building on Wednesday from 6.30pm – 8.30pm.

Tickets to the performance are free. However, people attending the concert can pay a small donation towards Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice. As well as expert palliative care, the charity supports people with life-limiting conditions, and their families. They work across Airedale, Wharfedale, Craven, and North and Bradford.

You can book tickets via Eventbrite.
