Capital Bids and Projects

Over the last two years, Bradford College has secured nearly £32 million in funding.

This substantial investment is helping us to rethink, reshape, rework, and rebuild aspirational facilities in the heart of Bradford.

Three extensive Bradford College construction projects will soon take shape: new £3.5m vocational T Level facilities, a £6.9m refurbishment of the derelict Garden Mills, and the construction of a new £17m Future Technologies Centre on Thornton Road.

Bond Bryan architects opened an academy at the College’s Trinity Green Campus as a base to oversee these complex capital projects. A purpose-built T Level classroom allows the team to guest lecture and deliver workshops while also offering site visits and mentoring for construction and engineering students.

These new facilities form part of our ambitious estates strategy – to nurture careers in vital sectors supporting regional economic growth.

However, ensuring our existing facilities meet future needs is also a priority. So, in summer 2024, we undertook a £1.1m refurbishment of our Advanced Technology Centre (ATC), and installed a new substation to service and futureproof all our electrical supply needs across multiple buildings.

The ATC remodelling will benefit our next cohort of diverse Progression to Learning and Work learners and includes fantastic new catering facilities, an art room, a beauty room, a hairdressing room, and a science lab.
