Our Beauty Therapy General VRQ Level 2 Diploma will teach you a range of skills used in the Beauty Therapy industry, and give you experience in a realistic salon environment. You will be introduced to all aspects of beauty therapy and will learn through practical study and experience.

You will develop the essential practical skills and theory required for Beauty Therapy. Topics covered will include facial treatments, waxing and threading as well as manicures and pedicures.

- Eye treatments
- Waxing
- Manicure
- Pedicure
- Threading
- Tanning
- Health and safety
- Client care and communication
- Anatomy and Physiology
You will also be required to attend some twilight and evening sessions.
Entry to this course requires a minimum of grade a 3 in both GCSE English and Maths.
If you have not achieved the above, you maybe offered the Level 1 Introduction to the Hair and Beauty Sector course.

As part of this course you will complete a 30 hour (one week) work placement in a salon. You can also participate in extra curricular activities, such as attending UK beauty exhibitions. Please note there may be additional costs for extra curricular activities.
Successful completion of this course can lead to progression to further study or employment in the Beauty Therapy sector. After completing this course, you have the opportunity to progress to Level 3 Diploma in Theatrical, Special Effects Hair and Media Make-up.
