The Level 2 Technical Certificate in Engineering builds is for you if you would like to explore and develop practical and technical skills in engineering.
As a practical element it focuses on Fabrication and Welding. You will gain an understanding of welding processes and how to weld. You will also learn how to use fabrication equipment and perform cutting of metals.
You will study the following units:
Entry to this course requires GCSE English and Maths at a grade 3 or D. Please note that safety boots and a suitable overall will be required for the practical workshop sessions. All other personal protective equipment (PPE) will be supplied. Further details will be supplied during the induction process.
To achieve the Level 2 Technical Certificate in Engineering candidates must successfully complete both mandatory assessment components.
Your course may include work experience or a work placement that could lead to the offer of a part-time or casual work, or you might work outside of your studies.
Successful completion of this course can lead to progression to further study or employment in the Engineering sector.
