This revision workshop is for students who have graduated from their training institute and are looking to take their PQEs for the first time or revise for re-sits for particular sections.The workshop will run over 12 weeks, consisting of 5 weeks of online tutoring with access to our learning resources. These online sessions will be on a Wednesday morning via MS Teams for 90 minutes. This will be supplemented with 7 face to face workshops, also on a Wednesday morning for 3 hours.You will not gain a qualification from attending this course, this is a revision workshop in preparation for your PQE exams which will be booked directly with ABDO Examinations via your student membership portal.If you are on your 4thand final attempt for any section, please notify your tutor at the start of the programme to ensure they have a copy of your paperwork to sign for you. You will need to attend the face-to-face sessions for this paperwork to be signed, it will not be signed for attendance that has taken place online only.To be enrolled on this workshop you will need to make payment in advance of attendance. You will not receive an invite to view the resources or online and face to face classes until confirmation of payment has been received.

The workshop will cover the 2015 and 2023 ABDO syllabus’ for the PQEs. Although all topics will be covered across the 12-week programme for those sitting the full examinations, you will be able to work on specific sections only should you be re-sitting. Teaching and learning methods include:

Entry onto this workshop programme requires completion of your studies in one of the following courses:
- BSc (Hons) Ophthalmic Dispensing
- FdSc in Ophthalmic Dispensing
- Diploma in Ophthalmic Dispensing
If you are a current student at Bradford College please speak with the Head of School regarding booking a place on the workshops.For the winter sitting you must apply via your student portal to ABDO Examinations by the 1st October 2024. For the summer sitting, your window to apply will open mid-January 2025 and close on the 1st March 2025. Please note this programme will run for semester 1 and then be repeated in semester 2 (total course length is 12 weeks not a full academic year).
Assessment will be ongoing across the 12-week programme, some of this will take place in your workplace and your supervisor will need to work with you to sign off your progress in tasks assigned to be completed during your time in Practice.
You must be working in Practice to attend this programme. Bradford College has excellent links with industry and students on the FQE workshop will benefit from visiting lecturers or revision content provision during the programme. These include:

Successfully completion of your PQE’s after this workshop means you will be in a position to progress through your PQP and work towards your FQEs.
