Bradford College in Top 5 for Apprenticeship Achievement Rates
Newly released national data has revealed Bradford College as one of England’s top five large further education colleges for apprenticeship achievement rates. We are also the best-performing large college in Yorkshire.
Qualification Achievement Rates (QARs) data is published in national tables every March to measure the performance of further education colleges and other training organisations each year. QARs use learner records to calculate the proportion of learning that was successfully completed and benchmark organisations on performance.
Bradford College achieved the fifth-highest large further education college in England for apprenticeship achievement rates, with a pass rate of 96.7%. The College ranked in the large training provider category as an organisation with 500+ apprentices – 810 in total.
Head of Apprenticeships & Business Development, Kelly McAllister, said: “This success is testament to our exceptional staff, assessors, and the incredible employers we support. Together, we are nurturing careers in sectors that support vital regional economic growth.”
The tables show provisional in-year data for all age (16+) apprenticeships starts, achievements, and participation in England for the 2023/24 academic year (August 2023 to January 2024). Bradford College scored an achievement rate of 65.1% against the national achievement rate of 54.6%.
Overall, we were ranked 30th nationally against all large training organisations in England, covering independent and publicly funded training providers such as the Open University, British Army, the Royal Air Force, and British Telecommunications (BT).
This latest success follows two consecutive years as ‘West Yorkshire Apprenticeship Training Provider of the Year’, awarded at the West Yorkshire Apprenticeship Awards. The College boasts a roll-on roll-off curriculum so that apprenticeships can begin at any time.
The College offers professional services apprenticeships in business administration, customer service, and team leader and management, alongside industry-specific apprenticeships in healthcare, construction, engineering, dental, motor vehicle, early years, and teaching.
