Previous Experience

Richard Barker. Professional Chef with 30 years experience within the hospitality industry.
Trained at Leith’s School of Food and Wine.
Co-proprietor of Le Caveau, Skipton from 1997 – 2014.
My current role is to develop student’s Front of House skills in our newly refurbished Grove Restaurant, from laying up the restaurant for service, interacting with customers in either food service or sales. Students are also taught Level 2 Barista skills, which they can use within the realistic work environment which we have created in The Grove.
Our aim at Bradford College is to build and develop the student’s knowledge and confidence both in the kitchen and front of house, thus allowing them to take their first steps in their chosen careers.

Previous Experience

As a former catering student at Bradford College himself, Andy knows the importance of vocational education. Andy spent years working in the catering industry as Head Chef at Hollins Hall Hotel and then London Marriott Hotel Regents Park.

Andy returned to Bradford College some 14 years ago when he became a training assessor and lecturer. He teaches the Level 3 Professional Cookery students who deliver the weekly à la carte menu in the College restaurant.

Previous Experience

Janice Flude, Professional Chef with over 30 years’ experience working in Executive Dining Facilities, Event Catering and training, specialising in patisserie and confectionary. Janice along with Level 3 Patisserie Students has supported with the recipe testing for Celebrity Chef -Rosemary Shragers, Bakes Cakes and Puddings. Students under Janice’s tuition have also worked through to finalist of Nestles Torque D’or Competition. Currently dedicated to helping Level 2 Professional Cookery students achieve their goals here at Bradford College.
