Previous Experience

Hello Everyone!

I will be seeing you all twice a week as part of your Tutorial and Personal Development. I will also be ‘’intervening’’ if there are any students on the naughty list. That includes not attending your classes as well as English & Maths. I hold the power of contacting your parents and arranging meetings with them; So, let’s all be on our best behaviour throughout the year.

I studied in Bradford College nearly 7 years ago. I do understand what its like to be a student in Bradford College and I hope you all enjoy the experience as much as I did.

Previous Experience

I have been involved in the military since I was 13 as an Army cadet.  I joined the Army as an Infantry soldier at 16 and have overseas including operational tours. I have worked with several military units including attachments to the Royal Airforce & Royal Navy and attached to the maiden voyage of HMS Ocean, the commando assault ship.  I left with the rank of corporal.

Professional Interests

I have spent many years in the field of education and enjoy passing on the knowledge and skills that I have gained over the years to the next generation.

Previous Experience

I have worked in further education for over ten years, and as a uniformed services teacher for four of them, my academic background is in sociology & criminology which I studied at the University of Leeds. I am currently doing a Masters in Peace and Development exploring solutions to conflicts worldwide.

Professional Interests

Through work placements with different NGOs, I worked alongside uniformed services to help people and improve their quality of life. Working with a variety of vulnerable people such as the homeless and refugees I have seen first-hand the positive impact the uniformed services do.

I am very passionate about teaching the next generation of uniformed service workforce who will help a generation of impoverished and vulnerable within the UK and worldwide in their capacity as police, ambulance, fire and armed service officers.

Outside of work, I run an amateur boxing club where I coach and compete, alongside this I love to play football.

Previous Experience

I am a British born Indian, Married with two adult children and a dog.
I have 32 years of public service, working in various roles in law enforcement and community safety, local government.
Overt, Covert and Professional Policing, SME (Subject Matter Expert).

Teaching Responsibilities

Tutor in Professional Policing for College of Policing, West Yorkshire Police, Nationally Accredited in Covert Policing.
I teach students about policing, focusing on how to build trust with communities and the importance of ethics in law enforcement. I love helping students understand how police work can make a positive impact!

Professional Interests

I enjoy cooking, tv and films, and helping people!
I enjoy sharing real-life experiences and my ‘lived in’ stories from my time in the field, showing how what we learn in class applies to real situations.

I’m passionate about community engagement and often involve local police officers in our discussions to give you a better perspective.
I’m giving back to you my journey in Public Service, to empower, enrich, educate and to excel!

Previous Experience

I have worked at Bradford College for 8 years, I spent 7 years as a Learning Assistant before moving to teach Uniformed Services. I have supported students with a variety of support needs. I was a finalist in the Skills House Post-16 Educator of the Year 2024. As well as being awarded the Best Example of EDI to Transform Lives at Bradford College 2024.

I studied at Bradford College and have completed a L3 in Sport (Outdoor Pathway) as well as a Degree in Sport and Physical Activity.
